In Microsoft Active Directory Terminology, a Domain is the lowest group of computers, users, devices, that share an active directory. In the Hierarchy a group of Domains is called a Domain Tree, and The Highest is a Domain Forest.
The Domain group is the basic “Workgroup” in the Active Directory Structure. It has the most detailed configuration and the lowest level of “trust.” The Network access of users are defined in a transitive trust order with the domain acting as the final detail.
The article is a checklist for deploying a domain in active directory. It can serve as a guide to network administrators to provide a self-check of their own work.
